Photograph taken by Sidney H. Glanville on the First Floor main staircase landing of the Rectory looking towards the Chapel.  The door on the immediate right leads to Room 6 (the Blue Room).  The altar rail can just be seen in the photograph.  This room was formally a bathroom.  Glanville is standing on the 'cold spot', a part of the landing so named after several people reported odd feelings including that of coldness while standing there.     (Reproduced from The Enigma of Borley Rectory by Ivan Banks [Foulsham, 1996])
